Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Compensation Manager to join the Imagineering Compensation Team! In this role, the incumbent will partner closely with HR Business Partners, the Talent Acquisition team, Compensation Partners across the Enterprise, Employee Relations, Labor Relations and Global HR Operations in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and guidelines for their respective client groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and administers compensation, such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, performance appraisals, salary increases and salary surveys
  • May provide services in Executive Compensation, International Compensation, Sales Compensation, and other specialized areas of compensation
  • Independently manages client relationships directly; evaluates roles and development of job families in support of business needs
  • Leads client compensation projects, and/or compensation cross-team projects; conducts and participates in internal and external market studies to help ensure that Compensation decisions are supported by data
  • Analyzes requests for salary and job level changes for respective clients and makes recommendations for approvals
  • Shapes or guides the development of and testing of new and updated compensation processes, systems and tools
  • Leads large-scale cross-segment analyses (e.g. harmonization, global leveling, global grading)
  • Project manages a variety of initiatives, ranging from internal process improvements to client driven programs which may include: conducting analysis of both union and non-union jobs; provides recommendations to senior leaders within the organization around regulatory matters
  • May serve as the primary lead for the Annual Compensation Planning Process (ACP), or specific portions of the process, which includes establishing an overall project plan for assigned client groups for the annual merit plan and the eventual upgrades in the planning tool to include LTI and bonus planning
  • Provides technical guidance to team members and colleagues
  • Serves as a mentor for less experienced team members

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as compensation professional
  • Solid understanding of compensation practices and trends
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local regulations
  • Candidates must have advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc...)
  • Strong analytical, project management and presentation skills
  • Displays excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to interact with senior-level executives and resolve questions and issues
  • Exceptional organizational skills should be complemented by flexible approach to shifting priorities on multiple assignments

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Education:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in related field and/or CCP Certification

The hiring range for this position in California is $135,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
