Job Description - Total Rewards Professional
Location: Bengaluru
Summary
Performs compensation analysis, job evaluation, reporting, and reward governance activities across compensation, benefits and Total Rewards programs. Provides insights and recommendations to support reward decisions and ensure alignment with global Total Rewards frameworks. Contributes to annual reward cycles, organizational changes and benefits programs while maintaining data integrity, consistency and compliance with company policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Analysis & Reward Management
Perform compensation analysis to support salary recommendations related to hiring, promotions, transfers, retention and organizational changes
Assess pay positioning, internal equity, compensation trends and workforce costs, providing insights to support reward decisions
Support annual compensation and incentive review processes through analysis, modelling, reporting and governance activities
Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and presentations for HR and business leaders
Participate in compensation survey submissions and support market intelligence activities
Respond to compensation-related inquiries from managers, HR and employees
Job Evaluation & Reward Governance
Conduct job evaluations and grading assessments using established methodologies and frameworks
Maintain job architecture, grading structures, and compensation data within HR systems
Review compensation proposals and transactions for alignment with reward guidelines, governance requirements, and approval frameworks
Support reward governance activities, audits, and policy compliance reviews
Contribute to reward-related activities associated with organizational changes, restructures, acquisitions, and integrations
Ensure reward practices remain aligned with global policies, local requirements, and established governance standards
Payroll & Reconciliation
Provide monthly inputs for statutory deductions and benefit-related recoveries
Validate payroll outputs and perform reconciliations across systems, statutory portals, and vendor invoices
Resolve discrepancies in coordination with Payroll and Finance
Benefits & Total Rewards
Support employee benefits programs, including insurance, retirement, wellness, and other Total Rewards offerings
Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and program effectiveness to support decision-making
Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders on benefits-related matters
Provide guidance on compensation and benefits programs to employees and HR stakeholders
Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Generate recurring and ad hoc analytics on compensation, benefits, reward spend, and workforce metrics
Perform data validation and analysis to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of reward data
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through analysis of compensation and rewards information
Support the preparation of management reports, business reviews, and reward presentations
Recommend process, reporting, and data management improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Systems & Data Management
Maintain accurate data in HRIS and benefits systems
Perform data validation, uploads, and system updates
Support system enhancements and testing activities
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of compensation principles, reward practices, and job evaluation methodologies
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with reporting and data analysis tools
Knowledge of compensation review processes, salary planning, and incentive programs
Understanding of employee benefits and broader Total Rewards programs
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capability
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred
3–5 years of experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, Reward Analytics, Compensation & Benefits or HR Analytics
Experience with compensation analysis, annual reward cycles, job evaluation, reward governance, employee benefits and reporting
Experience working with HRIS, compensation management and reporting systems preferred
