About the Team
The Compensation Controlling CoE, part of CoE Workforce Analytics & Insights, operates as a global team within Corporate Controlling in the Global Finance & Administration Board Area. We are responsible for Revenue Generating Bonus accrual, forecast, budget, and reconciliation process and another responsibility of this team is to also understand the Revenue Generating Bonus Plan Framework and design tools to reflect these requirements.
Purpose and Objectives
This position is responsible for the end-to-end bonus accrual and forecasting process for an entire business unit. This includes analyzing e.g. bookings and costs, preparing reporting and analyzing trends to aide management in decision making on compensation policies. In this position the individual communicates with Business Area Controlling, General Accounting Services, Field Compensation CoE, Local Chief Accountants, Corporate Financial Reporting, Total Rewards, and other connected functions. This position would also be responsible for ensuring compliance with both the internal and external auditors.
What you´ll do
- Understand key metrics of SAP’s Go-to-Market, Quota Credit Rules and Revenue Generating Bonus Plan Framework (including mechanics of calculations)
- Responsible for the financial planning & analysis for revenue generating bonus expense including budget, accrual, forecast and capitalization across license sales and services organizations
- Run simulations in Callidus commission systems to estimate future expense
- Calculate and post monthly bonus accruals
- Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet
- Ensure compliance with both internal & external auditors
- Support the development of the compensation system infrastructure to accurately estimate and forecast revenue generating bonus.
- Drive system/tool as well as process improvements
What you bring
- University degree and/or MBA preferably in Controlling, Finance or Business Administration
- Controlling background is a big plus
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically very strong in financial modeling in Excel
- Strong financial & analytical skills, conceptual and structured thinking
- Ready for successful teamwork and being a trusted advisor for team members and other controlling units
- Ability to work in a virtual environment with colleagues and team members abroad
- Willingness to work in a fast-changing environment
- Self-managed, high customer orientation
- Fluent in English
