The People Team at Roblox focuses on creating a sustained competitive advantage by evolving what we do in the people space (culture, leadership practices, organization, programs, etc.) into a thoughtful, integrated, low-friction "people operating system". We want to inspire people at Roblox to confidently take on challenging problems and allow them to push the envelope while providing what is needed to accelerate their development.

We take a strong quantitative and analytical stance on building and optimizing this operating system. The Executive and Equity Compensation Manager will join our Total Rewards team and will be instrumental in making that vision a reality. The role will collaborate with internal and external partners to drive and execute our equity and executive compensation programs.

This role is full-time and located in San Mateo, California. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Executive, Equity and International Compensation.

You will:

  • Lead the design, research, and ongoing maintenance of executive, equity, and international compensation programs, including processes and policies.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive participant education on executive, equity, and international compensation programs (e.g., performance awards, deferred compensation, equity refresh program).
  • Lead the change management of new executive, equity, and international compensation programs
  • Drive all aspects of Compensation Committee meeting preparation and materials.
  • Manage executive and international compensation market benchmarking and range setting
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to inform, influence, and execute business decisions related to compensation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Accounting, Stock Admin) to manage compensation inquiries and ensure compliance.
  • Streamline compensation processes through operational and system enhancements using Workday, Zendesk, Schwab, and other internal systems.
  • Oversee executive compensation reporting, policies, auditing, and data integrity initiatives for compliance and regulatory filings.

You have:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation, with a preference for executive, equity, and international compensation experience.
  • Expert-level analytical skills in Google Sheets for data analytics, complex functions, and scenario modeling.
  • Deep understanding of the design and structure of executive and equity plans (e.g., executive performance equity plans, new hire equity programs, refresh equity programs).
  • Experience with equity budgeting, dilution analysis, and related financial concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Highly detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and speed of execution, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.
  • Experience interfacing with stock administration teams; experience with Schwab reports is a plus.
  • Exposure to emerging, high-growth companies in the technology or internet sectors is a plus.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

$205,020$239,700 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
