For over 30 years, Raytheon operates and maintains the Navy’s three Relocatable Over The Horizon Radars (ROTHR). Each radar consists of a remote transmit and receive site. All radars are operated from the Consolidated Operations Control Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. Each radar is capable of covering over four million square miles across the Caribbean, Eastern Pacific, Central, and South America with all systems manned and operated 24 hours a day. The ROTHR mission is primarily to track and report the movement of aircraft and ships carrying illicit narcotics from South America toward Central America and the United States.

What You Will Do

• Perform routine cleaning of all areas of the site facilities.

• Perform janitorial tasks to maintain sanitary conditions including, but not limited to floor buffing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, removing trash, and wall/window/bathroom/furniture cleaning.

• Maintain the grounds of the ROTHR facilities.

• Duties also include cutting grass, trimming hedges, edging, pruning shrubs, planting grass, spreading fertilizer, and application of pesticides.

• Candidate will perform all other related duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications You Must Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Applicant must have a minimum of six months combined practical Grounds Maintenance and Janitor experience.

• Applicant must have the ability to comprehend and carry out the instructions outlined in written procedures with little supervision.

• Applicant must have a clean driving record.

• If employed an excess of 12 months, the selected candidate must be able to qualify as a Registered Technician for State Certified Pesticide Applicator.

• The selected candidate will be required to travel to remote sites and be able to work in geographically isolated environments in Premont and Freer, Texas.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Classified security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens

Qualifications We Prefer

• Current Registered State Pesticide Applicator.

• Previous or current security clearance.
