General Summary
The People Strategy and Operations – Senior Compensation Analyst role will be responsible for design implementing and administrating the service delivery of Qualcomm’s compensation programs for the assigned geography/region/countries (APAC/INDIA/EMEA/AMERICAS). This role reports into the Total Rewards Lead in People Strategy and Operations team and works in strong partnership with the Compensation and Benefits Communities of Practice (COE) team. The incumbent should have experience in working with global teams and matrix structure for seamless delivery of total rewards services.
As a member of the Qualcomm Compensation team, you will play an integral role in the company’s annual performance review process and various compensation programs. This role requires cross-functional collaboration and technical proficiency in relevant compensation laws and regulations. Your work will be critical in ensuring our compensation programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with our company strategic and financial goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience.

- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience.
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
- Leverages knowledge of compensation principles, processes, and best practices to support compensation programs (e.g., base pay, annual incentive plans, etc.) that aid in talent attraction and retention with minimal supervision.
- Collaborates and develops effective working relationships with Compensation team members, HR Partners, functional leaders, and external consultants to complete work.
- Provides support during the company’s annual review process by assisting with a variety of activities (e.g., modeling program funding; developing and testing program guidelines; reviewing proposed recommendations to guidelines, budgets, and internal consistencies; analyzing and developing pay recommendations for a workforce, etc.).
- Analyzes, interprets, and verifies moderately complex internal and external compensation data to make data-based decisions and recommendations regarding compensation-related topics and projects, including the annual market benchmarking process.
- Acquires essential knowledge on the evolving regulatory environment, pay equity, and other areas related to compensation.
- Writes and organizes technical documentation for moderately complex compensation-related decisions, projects, and/or processes with minimal supervision.
- Develops compensation proposals, including title and/or salary adjustments in conformance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Tax, and/or Internal Audit teams to develop market competitive compensation packages for prospective candidates, ensures compensation programs and policies align with corporate goals, and are compliant with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of Compensation work experience.
- 3+ years of utilizing Compensation-related systems/tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Workday, Tech Industry Surveys, etc.)
- 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director level and above).
- 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization
- Masters/Post Graduate degree or equivalent in Human Resources 2-6 years of experience in Human Resources inclusive 2-4 years of experience in Total Rewards
- Experience in utilizing Workday/SuccessFactors/Global ERP at operational level
- Proficiency in compensation and benefits methodologies from leading survey providers such as Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson (WTW), Aon
- Understanding of global/regional/country specific labor regulatory environments
- Certification in compensation and benefits programs is preferable
- Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses.
- Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
- Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
- Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
