Job Description
Senior Compensation Consultant Remote Candidates residing in Washington or Oregon are encouraged to apply.
The Senior Compensation Consultant plays a vital role in the development and ongoing administration, design, analysis and implementation of Providence’s union and non-union compensation programs ensuring Providence can effectively attract, retain and motivate employees. Provides expert consultation to HR and management on compensation matters, offering solutions and guidance on complex issues, including union bargaining. Participates in the development and implementation of compensation strategies that align with business goals and ensures regulatory compliance. Conducts research and analysis of market survey data and trends, including annual and ad-hoc reviews, to ensure compensation is competitive, equitable and cost effective. Evaluates new and existing roles to determine appropriate job level, pay and incentive plan eligibility. Models and costs scenarios for union negotiations. Works collaboratively with compensation team, HR and management on projects, including major multi-cost center and system initiatives. As needed, serves as the compensation subject matter expert on committees and supports with orienting and training new consultants.

- Strong ability to analyze data and create actionable insights regarding compensation trends and strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex compensation information to stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to address and resolve issues
- Must have in-depth understanding of HR practices, including laws and regulations governing compensation
- Requires strong attention to detail with precision in managing data and compensation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications:
- 5 years compensation experience including data collection and analysis, working knowledge of compensation systems, wage & hour laws and exempt classifications and consulting and advising on issues pertaining to all areas of compensation management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Science or related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
- Compensation experience at a healthcare employer strongly preferred
- Experience supporting union bargaining, including costing and modeling

- Washington: Western - Except Tukwila: Min: $50.32, Max: $79.45
- Washington: Southwest - Olympia, Centralia & Below: Min: $48.27, Max: $76.22
- Washington: Tukwila: Min: $50.32, Max: $79.45
- Washington: Eastern: Min: $42.96, Max: $67.82
- Washington: Southeastern: Min: $45.00, Max: $71.05
