Overview
Sales Compensation manager will be responsible for a team covering 3 key areas of Sales Compensation – Advisory, Solutions, and Operations. This role will collaborate with the Director of Sales Compensation to develop a multi-year roadmap of sales compensation priorities across different client areas, aligning with business strategy, and follow through on execution. The Sales Compensation team is accountable for partnering with business leaders, HR business partners and COEs, technology, legal, and finance. This individual is an exceptional people leader, motivating and growing high potential talent in a collaborative environment that promotes trust, integrity, accountability, and openness to new ideas. This individual will be curious, innovative, and have a strong influence to drive change. This role will also lead cross-functional project and develop and propose solutions to senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Manages Sales Compensation team regarding the planning, analysis, implementation, communication and administration of compensation policies, programs, practices and procedures.
- Help develop and drive a multi-year roadmap of sales compensation priorities across different client areas, aligning with business strategy. Project manage and identify the optimal talent on the team for execution of various tasks.
- Acts as consultant to managers regarding compensation issues by providing advice to managers on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluations. Ensures that compensation related decisions are in line with internal equity and external market, and support business objectives.
- Recruits, selects, hires and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Acts as an escalation point for any issues needing resolution.
- Analyzes data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs, and issues that could impact business results. Operationalizes human capital initiatives, quantifying results, and monitor /measure effectiveness.
- Plans, develops and oversees administration of sales compensation programs to include plan design and structure, documentation, risk management, and governance.
- Designs, evaluates, recommends, and modifies compensation policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Prepares the capital and operating budgets for the cost center(s) and analyzes interdepartmental reports as they relate to the cost center(s). Achieves cost center projections through labor expense and administrative expense controls.
- Pro-actively keep up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or Business related field - Required
- 7 years of experience in Human Resources or related function.
- 3 years of experience in Supervisory experience.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $103,000 to $162,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the Talent Acquisition & Onboarding position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
