The Sales Operations function serves as the strategic and operational backbone of the sales organization, ensuring that sales teams are equipped, aligned, and motivated to deliver on business objectives. A key area of focus is Sales Incentive Compensation, where we design, manage, and optimize sales incentive plans that drive desired sales behaviors and align with company goals.This includes:
• Developing fair, transparent, and competitive incentive structures.
• Administering sales compensation programs, ensuring accurate crediting, tracking, and payout.
• Partnering with Finance, HR, and Sales Leadership to align compensation with revenue targets and strategic priorities.
• Analyzing performance data to measure plan effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Providing clear communication and training to sales teams on incentive plans and performance metrics.
By combining operational rigor with strategic insight, we ensure that sales incentive compensation not only rewards performance but also fosters motivation, accountability, and growth across the sales organization.
What You Can Expect
Commission Processing & Accuracy
- Calculate, validate, and process quarterly sales commission payouts.
- Maintain audit trails, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure compliance with plan rules.
Quota & Plan Administration
- Support quota deployment, crediting, and plan governance processes.
- Provide clear and timely communication to sales teams on commission structures, attainment, and payments.
- Issue compensation plans annually and to new hires
Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track sales performance vs. quota.
- Analyze incentive effectiveness, highlight trends, and recommend plan improvements.
- Partner with Sales Ops, HR, and Finance to model scenarios and “what-ifs.”
Systems & Process Improvement
- Leverage Sales Performance Management (SPM) tools (e.g., Varicent, Xactly, Callidus) for automation and scale.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in sales compensation, or a related analytical role, preferably in the high-technology sector, with a preference for experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of sales commission structures, quota based incentives, and revenue crediting
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)
- Financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and explain implications
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, able to interface with sales and cross functional teams
- Experience with Sales Performance Management (SPM) software - Varicent, Xactly, Callidus, etc. preferred
- Ability to approach tasks with a strong sense of urgency, consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, Kinaxis, and Salesforce.com is preferred.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
95,590 - 143,200, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
