We’re looking for a Benefits Analyst to join our U.S team. You will be responsible for helping manage the day to day administration of our U.S benefit and wellbeing programs and vendor partners. We are looking for someone who is always looking for ways to improve, is used to working in a fast-paced collaborative environment with little supervision, and can deliver quality work.

Job Description
In your new role you will:
  • Support the implementation of benefits strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives
  • Administer and manage employee benefits, including health, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and other benefits
  • Assist in benefit communication strategy design (newsletters, TV monitor slides, new hire orientation etc.)
  • Communicate with employees, management, and external partners regarding benefits and related policies
  • Assist in Open Enrollment planning (communications, info sessions)
  • Support regional and global ad hoc projects and reports as required, assigned, or requested
  • Analyze and interpret benefits data to identify trends and patterns, and develop recommendations for improvements
  • Support benefits-related events and training for employees
  • Resolve benefits-related inquiries and issues and answer employee questions through our shared inbox
  • Assist with plan design document review including driving open enrollment process, partnering with benefits administration vendor for testing and implementing changes
  • Assist in the administration of our 401(k) plan
  • Assist in managing day to day of wellbeing programs to support employees
  • Help manage the day to day of US health and core benefit programs including health, spending accounts, life, disability, and commuter plans
  • Work with Canadian benefits vendor to manage invoices and administration
  • Collaborate closely with other HR functions (e.g. payroll, talent acquisition, business partner, HR people services)
  • Monitor benefits costs and budgets to ensure they remain within established targets
  • Support internal and external benefits reporting and audits
  • Handle monthly billing and financial reconciliation for benefits
  • Manage PO’s and balances
  • Assist in ACA reporting and data validation
  • Manage VDI billing and required fillings
  • Audit FSA/HSA’s quarterly
  • Manage LOA process


Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Social Sciences
  • 2-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information, problem-solving skills
  • Experience with benefits software and systems, such as Benefits Solver and SAP or similar systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused, collaborative environment
  • Experience administering self-funded plans a plus
  • Understand leave of absence laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and policies governing administration of benefits, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, DOL, ACA and IRS requirements
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A customer focused mindset
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, ability to prioritize tasks
  • Self-motivated and accountable with the ability to demonstrate judgement needed to operate independently under limited supervision

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:

Minimum of $ 83,400 per year and maximum of $ 114,600 per year

In addition, all full-time employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan
