IDEXX is looking for an International Compensation Manager to play a critical role in delivering fair, competitive, and transparent compensation programs across our global organization.

In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end execution of international compensation activities, including annual compensation cycles, and serve as a trusted expert to HR Business Partners and international business leaders.

Operating with significant autonomy within established governance and policy frameworks, the role translates Total Rewards strategy into consistent, compliant, and scalable execution. The position is a critical interface between business leaders, HR Business Partners, and analytical delivery, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.

This role does not hold people‑management responsibility, but provides functional leadership, expertise, and quality oversight across the team delivering international compensation activities.

Key Responsibilities

International Compensation Ownership

  • Own the end‑to‑end execution of international compensation activities, including annual compensation planning and salary review cycles.
  • Lead operational efficiency, governance checks, and execution quality across countries and regions.
  • Translate global compensation philosophy, job architecture, and salary structures into practical, compliant execution.

Pay Equity & Pay Transparency Leadership

  • Lead the operationalization of pay equity and pay transparency initiatives, including analysis readiness, consistency validation, remediation support, and monitoring.
  • Partner with People Analytics, People Operations, Payroll, Legal, and local HR teams to support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compensation outcomes align with internal standards, regulatory expectations, and emerging transparency obligations.

Expert Advisory & Decision Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for compensation advice to HR Business Partners and business managers.
  • Provide expert guidance on market positioning, salary decisions, promotions, job leveling, and pay adjustments within defined guardrails.
  • Resolve complex compensation cases independently and escalate only governance‑level exceptions.

Market Intelligence & Advanced Analytics

  • Interpret market data, pay equity analyses, and compensation metrics to drive informed and consistent decisions.
  • Review and validate complex analyses produced by analysts and provide insights based on the outcomes of these analyses.
  • Monitor external compensation and regulatory trends relevant to international markets.

Process Excellence & Risk Management

  • Lead continuous improvement of compensation processes and documentation, controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policy frameworks and applicable external regulations.
  • Support audits, controls testing, and risk reviews as required.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience & Expertise

  • 8–10+ years’ experience in Compensation or Total Rewards within a large, international organization.
  • Proven ownership of complex, multi‑country compensation cycles and execution models.
  • Practical experience with pay equity analysis and/or involvement in pay transparency implementation.
  • Deep understanding of job architecture, market pricing, and internal equity principles.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (required)
