Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Human Resources, Compensation & Benefits) - hybrid

As an Indirect Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Honeywell, you will drive enterprise sourcing initiatives through end-to-end supplier management, supply base optimization, and cost improvement initiatives. You will support supplier onboarding, data validation, and sourcing execution while ensuring compliance with Honeywell's sourcing policies.
Partnering with Procurement, Legal, Finance, HR, and Business stakeholders, you will facilitate timely contract execution, maintain data integrity, and mitigate supplier risks, including during M&A activities. Your contributions will include supplier due diligence and contract continuity planning to ensure seamless transitions. This role, reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and based in Bucharest, Romania, will significantly enhance sourcing effectiveness and the execution of strategic initiatives.
This is a hybrid role (3 days from the office and 2 days from home).

- 6+ years of experience in Commodity Management/Procurement/Supply Chain experience; preferrable in Indirect Sourcing.
- Experience in developing Supply Base Management strategies with a proven record of delivering key business results.
- Strong negotiation skills, fluent in drafting and negotiating contract terms and conditions, excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights, experience with sourcing and procurement processes, including supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies for Sourcing, data analysis and project management.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

- Serve as category manager for all 3rd party supplier procurement requirements supporting Honeywell’s Human Resources functions.
- Develop, deploy and manage global Category Strategies including Spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost reduction, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends.
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure early sourcing engagement, alignment on key business objectives and effective execution of sourcing initiatives. Deploy a regular and effective engagement model with the key stakeholders and suppliers that provides consistent communication and alignment.
- Identify strategic partners, negotiate and manage contracts and suppliers, develop a Preferred Supplier List with competitive rate cards and payment terms.
- Lead and manage supplier selection, RFx processes, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes.
- Consistently deliver year-over-year productivity, payment term improvements and other Indirect Sourcing goals.
- Support procurement workstreams for M&A initiatives, including divestitures and acquisitions, with a focus on supplier engagement, contract continuity, risk mitigation, and seamless transition to new operating models.
