The Compensation Analyst is responsible for operational analysis and recommendations for all aspects of compensation. The business is of ‘high’ complexity and volume/size. This position will also assist with building reports, dashboards and training material as needed to help with compensation planning.This position requires strong analytical skills, a high degree of accuracy, and excellent cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do:
- Provides analysis of compensation programs for sales personnel, including sales plan analysis and design, trend analysis, plan performance
- Performs staff support activities needed for the development, implementation, communication and administration of sales incentive programs, plans, plan training etc.
- May analyze sales performance results, prepare commission expense reports, presentations and recommendations for sales and / or finance management.
- Typically uses spreadsheets, ERP systems or dedicated computer programs to gather data for payment calculation or analysis. May contribute to the development or improvement of systems to effectively track or capture data.
- May perform cost analysis or modeling of alternative commission / incentive plan design or quota levels.
- Provides intermediate level, day-to-day operational analysis and recommendations for all aspects of compensation.
- Provides support with the annual merit and equity process
- Helps with project managing the entire Sales Compensation Design process
What experience you need:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, HR, Finance or a related field
- 2+ years prior experience related to financial and/or revenue analysis, metrics and reporting
- 2+ years of prior experience with incentive plan support, analysis and administration a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite is required with emphasis on advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Access and/or other Business Intelligence tools
- Detail oriented, focused on data integrity and accuracy
