Senior Compensation Analyst Job Description
The Compensation team manages our core compensation programs and act as trusted consultants to our People Experience (PE) partners and the business leaders at EA. Through conferences, research, and ongoing development opportunities, we stay at the forefront of market trends. We marry our knowledge of market practice with the needs of our business to create compelling compensation programs that attract, engage, reward, and retain EA's talent. You will work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days a week in our Vancouver office.
Description:
You will help design and implement global compensation programs that align with EA's business strategy and talent philosophy. You will be a trusted partner to global Compensation team members, HRIS, and PE centers of excellence (recruiting, analytics)— using data, market insights, and technology to deliver an excellent compensation experience. You will report to the Senior Manager, Compensation Programs. You will also partner and support PE projects and manage ad-hoc and ongoing needs and requests.
Responsibilities:
- Leads analytical preparation and system readiness for the annual & midyear compensation planning cycle (salary, bonus, and long term cash)
- Leads market benchmarking and internal pay analyses across business areas
- Advises HR and business leaders on compensation decisions and job evaluations
- Supports design and enhancement of salary structures and incentive programs
- Identifies pay trends and recommends adjustments aligned with frameworks
- Oversees execution of salary review cycles for assigned regions or functions
- Ensures regulatory and governance alignment in compensation practices
- Develops materials and insights for leadership discussions
- Identifies opportunities to improve compensation processes, reporting, tools, and operational efficiency and supports implementation of approved enhancements
- Leads compensation-related projects, program implementations, and operational activities while ensuring data accuracy and process effectiveness
- Participates in compensation surveys and assists with analyzing market data, compensation trends, and competitive practices in consultation with appropriate stakeholders to support compensation recommendations and program implementation
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to compensation capability building within the team.
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of progressive experience in compensation analysis and design.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (can perform complex functions)
- Data modeling/analytics capability (able to translate complex analysis into relevant business insights)
- Experience with annual pay cycles, salary structure modeling, job leveling, survey submission, compensation benchmarking and geo-pricing
- Experience with short and long-term incentive programs
- Manage sensitive information confidentially
- Review and validate complex data sets with accuracy.
- Collaborate with global teams across departments and time zones.
- A team player who is comfortable to meet the shifting demands of a growing and evolving business
We desire experience in the following, although it is not required:
- Outlook, BetterComp, Workday, Google Suites, SuccessFactors, Pave, Compa
- Data analysis & predictive modelling using AI and advanced analytics tools. Compensation experience in a global context
