ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Global Benefits to manage our global compensation related benefits programs. This role will oversee benefits programs, incentive plans, recognition, allowances, and fleet administration while ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design Allowances and Benefits
- Design and govern policies for various (benefit related) allowances like but not limited to car, housing, internet, mobile, shift, and overtime.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
- Support due diligence and integration during Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
Fleet Program Management
- Develop and maintain the global design principles for Amgen’s fleet policy, eligibility, and sustainability objectives in collaboration with GSS to support optimization of fleet costs.
- Monitor utilization, total cost of ownership, and employee satisfaction metrics.
- Market benchmark fleet policy country/region wise
- Recommend policy adjustments that balance local market needs keeping global governance intact
Incentive and Reward Programs
- Support Sales/Short-Term Incentive Plans (SIP/STI) benchmarking and Long-Term Incentives benchmarking (LTI).
- Ensure alignment between pay-for-performance and company KPIs.
- Ensuring timely capture of SIP targets, actual SIP payout amount, payout cycles in workday
- Develop recognition programs including applause, milestones, and peer recognition initiatives. Execute, maintain and provide optimization recommendations for our recognition program including data insights showcasing chargebacks, budget utilization, audit tracker for governance purpose
Retention Program
- Owning the optimization and governance of global retention framework targeting critical talent segments, high performers and succession pipeline ensuring proper communication and training for target audience
- Recommendation around criteria, retention period, payout mechanism and rules (e.g. claw back or forfeit )
- Ensure retention plans are budgeted, sustainable, and tied to measurable business impact
- Integrate retention initiatives into the broader Total Rewards strategy, ensuring a cohesive employee value proposition
Governance, Compliance, and Analytics
- Ensure all compensation-related benefits policies comply with legal and internal standards.
- Leverage HR analytics to track trends and program ROI periodically to help business leaders in making meaningful decisions.
- Align with global TR policies with local mandates checked in to ensure standardized process
- Conduct Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes and industry best practices to translate business and workforce needs into competitive and sustainable benefits offerings across all global regions
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- 8+ years of core Total rewards experience working with Global stakeholders
- Proven experience leading international teams and managing comp related benefits across multiple regions
- Strong knowledge of benefits trends, market practices, and regulations globally.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with a track record of leveraging data to drive decisions.
- Experience with global HRIS platforms (i.e. Workday) is preferred.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred to have GRP, CCP or CBP certification
- Masters from Tier 1 or Tier 2 college preferred
