Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Compensation, this role will participate in the design, development, administration, and communications of compensation and employee benefit plans, programs and arrangements, with a primary focus on benefit plans sponsored or maintained outside of the United States.
Our preference is for our successful candidate to work aligned with our hybrid model which is 2 days per week in our Maidenhead, UK office. This role has one direct report, who is based in our Maidenhead, UK office.

You will work with the Total Rewards team to evolve our total rewards to support our mission through our ability to attract, retain and engage a high-performing and dedicated workforce. Your contributions will elevate our ability to deliver best in class rewards and consultation to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, recommend and execute innovative compensation and benefit programs by evaluating market practice, trends, regulatory requirements, analyzing costs, and ensuring Alnylam’s competitive advantage for its total reward offerings
- Provide strategic consultative thought leadership to the business and HR Business Partners with respect to all total rewards matters including, but not limited to, salary management, total rewards philosophy, programs, policies, job architecture, and creative support of strategic objectives
- Proactively engage with key stakeholders across the company to build strong relationships and to provide thought leadership and advisement on compensation/total rewards strategies and competitive trends
- Support the enhancement and evolution of a total rewards strategy based on the Company’s current lifecycle stage and highlight and educate employees on total reward programs across global locations
About you…
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Total Rewards professional who brings a global perspective, strong leadership acumen, and a proven ability to assess, improve, and implement benefits programs across diverse regions. With deep expertise in compensation and benefits, this individual is adept at navigating complex international landscapes, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and delivering impactful, employee-centric solutions that align with business objectives.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Proven expertise in total rewards strategy, operations, and plan design, including pensions, wellness, leave of absence, and allowances
- Strong understanding of global compensation practices and employee benefit plan design across Europe and Asia
- Skilled relationship builder with the ability to influence, advise, and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Deep knowledge of cultural nuances, statutory regulations, and regional market trends impacting benefit programs globally
- Demonstrated success in managing and implementing international total rewards projects, including benchmarking and compliance initiatives
