The Opportunity
Product Analyst, Compensation plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s compensation programs through effective HR technology solutions. This role acts as a key liaison between business collaborators and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into scalable system functionality. The analyst ensures data accuracy, drives process improvements, and supports seamless execution through configuration, testing, documentation, and change management.
Partnering closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and vendor teams, the Product Analyst ensures that compensation systems are efficient, compliant, and fully aligned with business needs, enabling a consistent and reliable employee experience.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the techno functional expert for compensation product configuration and data flows.
- Partner with Product Managers and Compensation teams to understand business requirements, pay models, and global compensation frameworks, translating them into functional specifications and configuration stories.
- Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of compensation-related features and workflows (e.g., salary planning, bonus cycles, benchmarking integrations, pay equity analytics).
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validation for new features, data feeds, and system enhancements to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Build and maintain detailed business process documentation, configuration playbooks, and data dictionaries for compensation modules.
- Analyze compensation-related data to identify trends, quality issues, and optimization opportunities.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on data dependencies, workflows, and release timelines.
- Support the continuous improvement of product configuration standards, governance, and protocols.
What You Need to Succeed
- 8-10 years of experience in Compensation, HR Systems and Business Analysis, preferably within HR Tech or SaaS environments or equilivent working experience
- Strong knowledge of compensation processes — including salary structure design, pay ranges, merit/bonus cycles, benchmarking, and total rewards programs.
- 5+ years of Hands-on experience with HR systems configuration or product implementation (e.g., Workday)
- Ability to interpret and document business requirements, data mappings, and functional specifications for product enhancements and integrations.
- Strong analytical approach with experience in data validation, reporting, and fix.
- Solid understanding of data flows between HRIS, compensation, and payroll systems
- Good communication and collaboration skills to liaise between multi-functional teams and business partners.
- Thorough and structured problem solver with a commitment to data accuracy and process efficiency.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
